General Filming Guidelines

Use a cell phone that can film in 4K at 60 fps.

Film in landscape, not portrait.

Keep your entire body in the frame.

Do not submit slow-motion videos.

More footage is better than less, don't cut too short.
Flat Ground
-
Position the camera at hip height.
-
Skate directly at the camera or at a 90° angle.
-
Avoid filming from a 45° angle.
Mini Ramps / Small Transitions

Film from the flat bottom or in line with the coping.
-
Ensure the run-up and exit are clearly visible.
-
Don't cut out the transition on approach.

Don't film straight out from the deck.
Bowls
-
Have someone film you from the deck, if possible.

If filming solo, position the camera directly at the corner.
-
Include both the flat bottom and the transition for entrance and exit.
Ledges and Rails

Position the camera at hip height.
-
Skate directly at the camera or at a 90° angle.
-
Avoid filming from a 45° angle.
Vert
-
Film from the flat bottom, capturing the entire vert ramp if possible.
-
Have someone else film you, if possible.
